Get to Know our Optometrist!

Hello,

I’m Dr. Jamal and I’m the friendly optometrist here at Keil Lasik Vision Center! I am likely the first doctor you will encounter when you come in for your consultation here at Keil Lasik Vision Center.

Actually, there are only 2 doctors here, myself & Dr. Keil- the man who owns the practice and the reason why we are all here (thanks Boss)! We’ve heard over and over again from our patients just how much they LOVE having only 2 providers here (and a small office staff in general)! It gives our practice a cozy, friendly, and family-oriented vibe. In fact, Dr. Keil and I collaborate on almost every single patient that walks through our office. Even if you didn’t meet me before your actual surgery…you better believe I held your chart in my hands at some point, double and triple-checking all those important numbers and details before your big day! Dr. Keil and I ensure that there are lots of redundancies built into our medical operations, and this is to minimize errors and ensure that you get the best possible vision outcome! So relax and rest assured…we’ve got you!

Before you are released from our care, I can almost guarantee that you will have encountered both Dr. Keil and I at some point throughout your LASIK journey! I love that we get to closely follow you after your surgery, and honestly one of the favorite parts of my job is getting more and more of a glimpse into your personality the further you get into your LASIK journey. It’s totally normal for patients to be nervous, shy, and maybe even a little reserved the first time they walk into our office…after all, you guys are considering elective surgery on your eyes, your most precious sense organ. It’s a very brave decision to come in and even initiate this conversation with us, and I recognize and celebrate your courage! What I often notice is that as our talented team gently walks you through this process, patients relax, open up, and share more about themselves as they realize that they can trust us to take care of them.
