My name is Haley. I’m your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man Marketing Manager/Surgical Coordinator/Front Desk Girlie. I started at Keil Lasik as a part time front desk assistant in March of 2020, three weeks before the world shut down because of the pandemic. I didn’t know if I would have a job when the lock-down ended, but luckily I did. And because everyone hated wearing glasses with the masks, we were crazy busy! So, my job quickly morphed into surgical coordinator. I always joke that I’m the person who decided to be full time, because we were so busy that no one even had time to ask me. Eventually, my job morphed into also handling the marketing. So, when you see me at the front desk, I’m probably also editing TikToks and blog posts.  ![IMG_4867](https://blog.keillasik.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_4867.jpeg?width=372&height=279&name=IMG_4867.jpeg) My best friend Allie and me at the Michigan Renaissance Festival    Tragically, I am “millennial cringe” as the youths say. I love skinny jeans, 2016/beauty influencer makeup, Harry Potter, and all basic girl things (Starbucks!!!). My dog, Hazel, is my best friend. I am a certified dog mom and, yes, I was a little disappointed that no one wished me ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ this year. ![IMG_9587 (1)](https://blog.keillasik.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_9587%20(1).jpg?width=295&height=394&name=IMG_9587%20(1).jpg)Hazel enjoying the sunset on Grand-paw's boat on Hess Lake But I digress. Hazel and I live for the warm months. Together we go on countless walks. We also love to visit Hazel’s grand-paw-rents and her BFF/”Uncle” Turner, because they live on a lake. When we’re at the lake we love to swim and go on boat rides.  ![IMG_1989 (1)](https://blog.keillasik.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_1989%20(1).jpg?width=461&height=614&name=IMG_1989%20(1).jpg) Hazel and her "Uncle" Turner terrorizing me with their love.  I refer to myself as a grand-millennial (a millennial with grandma hobbies). Last fall I taught myself how to crochet (RIP Joann’s). So far, I’ve only made blankets, but I’m going to try to make myself some mittens and scarves this fall. I also have several potholder patterns I’m wanting to try, but I’m waiting for the inevitable 6 months of bad Michigan weather. I also love to garden! Nothing is more exciting than when my spring daffodils and tulips FINALLY come up. In general, I just love flowers; slowly but surely, I’ve been trying to fill my yard with flowers. This year I added some window boxes to my house and I’m enjoying seeing the hummingbirds fly up to the window while I do dishes. This year I was able to try to grow some fruits and vegetables. This was my first attempt, so I learned a lot! And next year I will hopefully be more successful.  ![IMG_0783](https://blog.keillasik.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_0783.jpg?width=296&height=394&name=IMG_0783.jpg)![IMG_9044](https://blog.keillasik.com/hs-fs/hubfs/IMG_9044.jpg?width=277&height=370&name=IMG_9044.jpg) my garden blooming this past spring and one of my carefully designed planters If I wasn’t working at Keil Lasik, I would definitely want to be a flower farmer or run a charity/non-profit that is focused on animals. I would love to own a small farm that acts as a "retirement home" for abused or mistreated animals. This farm would also act as a foster home for pets of victims of domestic violence. (Between 18-48% of domestic violence victims delay leaving because they can't take their pets with them.)  When I'm not tending to my garden or taking Hazel to the lake, I'm probably doing something a little nerdy--like going to the Ren Faire, see above or geeking out over Marvel movies (shut up Walid! I don't care what you think, I love them) or watching documentaries--or just trying to spend time with my friends. (Did you know being an adult makes it really hard to see your friends?) Anyway, if you ever want to chat with me, feel free to DM any Keil Lasik social media account, otherwise I will see you when you come visit us at the office!    [Back to List](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog) [ Next Article ](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/common-misconceptions-about-lasik) ## Related Posts [![Get to Know: Taylor](https://blog.keillasik.com/hs-fs/hubfs/AI-Generated%20Media/Images/sunrise%20sky%20above%20the%20clouds.jpeg?width=900&name=sunrise%20sky%20above%20the%20clouds.jpeg) ](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/taylor) ###### [About Us](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/tag/about-us) ##### [Get to Know: Taylor](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/taylor) 1 min read Jul 28, 2025 [![From Surgery to Sightseeing: When is it Safe to Travel After Refractive Eye Surgery?](https://blog.keillasik.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/treatment.jpg?width=900&name=treatment.jpg) ](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/beyond-filler-content) ###### [LASIK](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/tag/lasik) ###### [EVO- ICL](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/tag/evo-icl) ###### [Refractive Surgery](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/tag/refractive-surgery) ###### [PRK](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/tag/prk) ##### [From Surgery to Sightseeing: When is it Safe to Travel After Refractive Eye Surgery?](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/beyond-filler-content) 1 min read Jun 16, 2025 [![Common Misconceptions about LASIK](https://blog.keillasik.com/hs-fs/hubfs/AI-Generated%20Media/Images/I%20want%20a%20cartoon%20image%20of%20a%20person%20holding%20their%20glasses%20in%20their%20hand%20over%20a%20trash%20bin-1.jpeg?width=900&name=I%20want%20a%20cartoon%20image%20of%20a%20person%20holding%20their%20glasses%20in%20their%20hand%20over%20a%20trash%20bin-1.jpeg) ](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/common-misconceptions-about-lasik) ###### [LASIK](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/tag/lasik) ###### [EVO- ICL](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/tag/evo-icl) ###### [Refractive Surgery](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/tag/refractive-surgery) ###### [RLE](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/tag/rle) ###### [Eye Health](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/tag/eye-health) ##### [Common Misconceptions about LASIK](https://blog.keillasik.com/blog/common-misconceptions-about-lasik) 1 min read Oct 30, 2025 ![Keil Lasik Vision Center Logo](https://blog.keillasik.com/hubfs/logos/Keil_V_White%20(1).png "Keil Lasik Vision Center Logo") 2500 E.
