EVO ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) is one of the advanced refractive surgery options we offer. It’s a safe and effective alternative to procedures like LASIK and PRK, especially for individuals with moderate to high nearsightedness (myopia), with or without astigmatism.
What is EVO ICL?
EVO ICL involves placing a biocompatible lens made from Collamer—a collagen and polymer blend—between your iris (the colored part of the eye) and your natural lens. Because Collamer contains collagen, a substance naturally found in the body, the lens is highly compatible and minimizes the risk of rejection.

Who is it for?
EVO ICL is ideal for patients who:
- Have moderate to high myopia, with or without astigmatism
- May not be candidates for LASIK or PRK due to thin corneas or other factors
- Want a reversible and additive vision correction option (no removal of corneal tissue)
Benefits of EVO ICL:
- Provides sharp, clear vision
- Preserves the natural cornea
- Offers UV protection
- Quick procedure with rapid recovery
- Reversible and removable if needed
Recovery Time:
The First 3 days after surgery:

- Avoid getting water in your eyes- No swimming, hot tubs, or face washing that could introduce bacteria to the eyes.
- Wear eye protection while sleeping- we will provide you with sunglasses to wear while you sleep.
- Avoid makeup- no eye makeup to reduce the risk of infection.
Short-term Restrictions: 1 week
- No swimming or hot tubs- to prevent infection.
- Limit strenuous activity- Avoid heavy lifting, vigorous exercise, or anything that increases pressure in the eye.
- Avoid dusty of dirty environments- these can increase the risk of post operative infections
- Follow eye drop regimen strictly- Includes antibiotics, anti-inflammatories, steroids, and artificial tears to support healing and prevent complications
